This intruder is Devil 505 from the movie Flight Of The Intruder, having landed on the Enterprise after Cool Hand and Cole Virgil Cole take it "Downtown" to blow up SAM City. The sequence in the film shows the plane taking all kinds of damage from near-miss SAMs and small arms fire, which I have tried to replicate, although you don't get a really good look at the damaged plane in the movie.

I was really happy with the kit overall. It was really complex (600+ parts!) but it went together really nicely and I am happy with the end result. This is the first plane I have built since middle school and it definitely stretched some of my abilities.

Really nice work. The damage to the canopy is very good.

Thanks. The canopy damage was the most nerve-wracking part of the build - I only have one canopy part, so if I screwed it up in an unrecoverable way, I would have had to either try to order another one from Trumpeter, or written the whole thing off.

Beautiful build! I like the very distinct, yet subtle damage. Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic work. I've got the Revell kit with the movie decals, but the plastic isn't up the level that you're showing. Hopefully I can find these photos when my Intruder makes the assembly line.
