I'm about to start prepping my 1/72 Italeri ME110G-4 kit and was wondering how accurate the painting instructions were. For example they are saying paint the cockpit interior RLM02, when to the best of my knowledge it should be RLM66.

The biggest question I have is regarding the underside colour. All 3 painting options say the underside should be RLM65. Now I know bombers used that colour after fighters had changed to RLM76 but shouldn't the undersides of ME110G's be RLM76 as well? Can someone please shed some light on this?

I want to do the third option which is from NJG1 based at Gelsenkirchen in 1945. The top colours are RLM63 and RLM74. The underside of the starboard wing is Black and the props/spinners RLM82. Does that sound about right?

Lastly, the drop tanks should be painted the same as the underside - does that mean the starboard tank would be Black, or would both tanks remain in the normal underside colour?

thanks
Mike
