Thanks for the comments guys and thankyou Jea-Luc for doing a great editing job in putting the portfolio together!
Its very satisfying to see my efforts presented in a Portfolio article.I feel that my modelling is developing with each build I undertake and the encouragement and advice I have recieved from members of the site has been invaluable.
Im really enjoying my return to modelling.I think the break was about 22 years, but the pleasure I get from it is even better than I remember from when I was a youngster.

A well deserved presentation of your work, well done Nige. I really like the Camel in the "dazzle" scheme, it deserved MoM.

Hi Nige
I agree with Chuck - that "dazzle Camel" is a model that would be a jaw-dropper in any scale! In 1/72... you are clearly the Mask-Meister!
All the best

Thanks Rowan and Chuck.
That little Camel certainly has character, and when its been on the Bulldogs stand it has always recieved plenty of attention.
At Scale Model World 2007 the judges from the 1:72 WW1 section of the nationals spotted it on the Bulldogs stand (after the competition had been judged), and informed me that if it had been entered into the competition they would have awarded it the gold!
They asked for photos which I was happy to supply and it was featured in their report from Telford in Cross and Cockade.(vol 37 # 4).
Although I build for my own enjoyment and not competitions I will put a couple of entries into the 1:72 class at shows I attend and the P47's have done very well, being placed or commended everytime theyve been entered.
I try to enter as many Aeroscale campaigns as I can and due to my heavy work scedule which keeps me away from home most of my builds at the moment are for the campaigns. I have however, got another wacky paint scheme up my sleeve. I have the reference photos and the kit all ready to to go.Ive just got to figure out how to mask the thing.
All Im going to say at the moment is that its a lot different to the Camel and is 1:72
Thanks for the comments guys

See how many of them you can recognise from the remains of what happens when a bunch of teenagers decide to hold a party in your empty house.......

The last teenager that showed me that much disrespect is buried under the tomato patch.
There will be consequences!
