Some notes
The model was made out of a modified Fw 190D 1/48 scale kit from Tamiya. The wings have been shortened by 2cm and the wingtips slightly modified and then glued in place. The fuselage has been reduced as well in that the D version's additional piece at the rear was deleted and even more plastic sanded away. The gun cowling was flattened and looks more like the piece of a Ta 152 now. The engine ring comes from a Do 335 kit and adds 5mm of lenght to the nose. The six blade propeller assembly was made from two pieces of three and the decals are from the spare box (old car kits).

LOL! I have to admit I love it! Stunning work on the conversion and colour scheme - it'd look amazing taking part at the Reno Races! With Flug Werk busy building new '190s, maybe we'll see it for real one day...
All the best

Great looking very colourful model.
Is this the model of a real aircraft that flew? Or a "what if" of how a Dora racer could look like?
Thanks for sharing

Very nice model and fantastic paint job.
I am not a racing plane fan but I always wondered how well a Fw 190D-11 would do in the Reno air races!
