Some notes about the model
This is the 1:48 scale Tamiya Lancaster in the latest B Mk.I/III boxing (#61105). The model was build with additional PE parts from the BigEd set from Eduard: Lancaster interior (49371), Lancaster seatbelts (49034), Lancaster exterior (48564), Lancaster landing flaps (48563), Lancaster bomb bay (48553), Lancaster bomb rack (48565) and Lancaster masks (EX4129).The model has been entirely engraved since the panel lines are raised on the original kit.
Other details have been scratchbuilt such as the missing H2S radar, the leather cushions for the crew, the aerial wires etc... The Tilly truck is the 1:48 scale Tamiya model built from the box with the exception of the thin straps for the canvas cover which are made of fine lead wire.
The markings have been applied using Mal's Miracle Paint Masks. Tamiya acrylics were used for the camouflage painting and weathering was done with ProModeller wash and Tamiya's weathering pastels.
The model was featured in the anniversary issue n°100 of Tamiya Model Magazine France.

Jean-Luc, that is stunning. I like the shot you threw in showing your wing masking.

Hi all,
Thank you all for your kind words...
Rowan, I have used Post-It paper to do the panel painting.

Nice job. I especially like the paint scheme and weathering. Most of the Lanc's I see are bright and lack of a better word perfict. This one holds a lot of realism (IMHO)
