Scale Model World 2010
The IPMS (UK) Scale Model World show is held over the weekend of the 13th and 14th of November in the three halls of the International Center in Telford, England.The show has become the largest model show in the world with manufacturers and model-makers from all over the globe attending.
A replica Spitfire adorned Hall 3 and was in the original markings of W3644 and carried the Lytham St Annes name in tribute not only to the brave pilots who flew her but also to mark the generosity of those people that donated what little they had to the War effort.
The Spitfire was much in demand throughout the weekend as you could have your photograph taken in the cockpit of the Spitfire.
Airfix and Revell both attended and showed off their soon to be released kits with Revell having built up models of thier 1/32nd Arado AR 196, due out in December and Airfix with sprues of the 1/48th Sea Vixen which is due out anytime soon.

IPMS club stands from all over the Country and from Overseas filled the spaces in-between the traders stands. The club stands had a varied genre on each stand, with the Overseas section having some very good finished models on display.
The competition area was well fought over many classes, with the overall best of show going to a Handley Page biplane.

It was a very busy weekend, loads more people and pleased to add a lot more model on display then last year.

Yes Santa-Luc, you really must make it to Telford, I'm sure that room can be found in the B&B that the Bulldogs take over for the week end
