The build
This is Hasegawa's 1/32 Messerschmitt Bf109G-4 Regia Aeronautica kit. There are some minor things which I did scratch build.
I added some details to the seat.
I added belts from HGW, I then closed the fuselage up.
I had some additional work in joining upper part of engine cowling with rest (thanks Hasegawa).
Compressor inlet joining with fuselage is also in not so nice place.
In the meantime my friend reminded me there is open tail wheel bay on that 109, so I decided to improve that. Done with wire, metal foil from some packaging, MagicSculpt, and some other not so much visible stuff, such as fishing line, and a spring from guitar string.
I decided to fill the gap between flaps and wing with MagicSculpt (MS).
I decided also to use MG 151 from Model Master. It was a bit difficult at this step. I had to make the hole bigger to fit the barrel, and afterwards had to fill it (I used MS).
The model was then primed with Mr.Surfacer 1200 Spray from Gunze.
Painting and decaling
I first sprayed on metallic colors which in some places where there will be some chipping.
I painted it with Life Color acrylics.
I painted the yellow on the engine hood first, then masked it.
Then was blue RLM 76.
First dark version of my RLM 76 on the lines, on the undersides and sides.
(Lifecolor 76 + blue + Agama 76), after main my RLM 76 between lines (Lifecolor 76 + blue), then some improvement with dark one, and finally lightened with white in some places.
Starting with upper surfaces.
Lifecolor RLM 75 on the panel lines and lighter between. Lifecolor RLM 74 on the panel lines (similar it was with RLM 75 at the beginning). There will be some over-painting of fuselage part where the German cross was.
White surfacer 1000 done in fast identification places and crosses. Weathering I did with oil paints and pigments.
I gloss coated the model ready for the decals.
Decals were very bad, thick and Gigi emblem had weird blue color (so I repainted that).
Weathering I did with oil paints and pigments.
Bf 109G-4 365 - 1 from 150ø Gruppo Caccia Terrestre 365a Squadriglia (Werk-Nr. 19566), Sycily, Sciacca airfield, june 1943 According to Ali Straniere in Italia 1 Ten. Giuseppe Gianelli was the pilot.
Conclusion
This was going to be quick build, but it wasn't, this makes me worry a bit as there is so many models I would like to build. I'm building a base for taking pictures in landscape, once I do that I will show the pics.

Great build, Jerzy. Nice to see the 109 in unusual markings. I love the weathering of the enigne on the underside of the fuselage.
Looking forward to see your diorama! Thanks for sharing

Base (it is not be a diorama, just a flat square with sand, something just to make landscape pictures) is nearly done, now i wait for a sun and a bit of time.
Kind regards,
Jerzy
