Zerstorer Campaign

The Zerstorer campaign recently concluded and was themed around building twin engine heavy fighters.
Almost every Air Force during World War II had their big twin engine Zerstorer (Destroyer) heavy fighters. The most famous is probably the Bf 110, with other notables being the Me 210, Me 410, He 219, Beaufighter, Mosquito, P-38, P-61, Gekko, and some lesser known units such as the Pe3, Do 335, Whirlwind and P-70.
Damian Rigby (AussieReg) came up with the idea and led the campaign with the following 22 entrants completing the campaign with some outstanding builds of Zerstorer’s including the huge 1/24 scale Airfix Mosquito by Andy Appleby
Bf110 by martin (SUNDON)
Mosquito NFXIX by Adam Maas (mykroft)
Bf110 by Pedro Rocha (rochaped)
Bf110 by Kenneth L Pedersen (wespe66)
Bf110 by Jesper (SGTJKJ)
Mosquito by Nick Sinclair (Blueheeler)

Bf110 by Ed S Sarao (liberator)
Bf110 by Kevin Brant (SgtRam)

Thanks for putting that feature together Jessica. I had a great time running the Zerstorer Campaign and the enlisted put up some great builds. Unfortunately due to real life overload I didn't get past opening the box on my build, but it's still there in the stash for "Zerstorer II"
Cheers, D

It's one of the best and most interesting campaigns I've seen here. My congatulations to Damian, Jessica and all participants.

I agree, some really nice work in the campaign. Thanks again Damian for running it and everyone else who contributed help. Russell

I had a kit ready for the campaign, but unfortunately was kept busy by other obligations, ...but I was lurking. A well run campaign indeed and great output. I'll make sure to join "Zerstörer II"!
