history
The Dassault Super Mystère was France's first fighter capable of exceeding Mach 1 in level flight. As such it was broadly comparable to the F-100 Super Sabre, and even slightly resembled the American jet. The Super Mystère had a long career in L'Armée de l'Air, and also in the Israeli Air Force. Honduras operated 16 formerly Israeli Mystères between 1976 and 1999.the model
AZ Model released this state-of-the-art kit in 2011, finally replacing the ancient Airfix kit from the 1970s. Pierre reports that the detail parts and engraved panel lines are superior to the Airfix kit, but its fit problems tempted him on many occasions to try cross-kitting those details into the Airfix, because at least it fits!In the end, Pierre triumphed over the fit and produced this masterpiece dressed in the markings of EC 2/12 'Cornouailles' squadron, Armée de l'Air.
