About Jim Starkweather (staff_Jim)
FROM: NEW HAMPSHIRE, UNITED STATES

I started building models in 1971 when I was 6. My first model was a 1/32 P-40 Warhawk. Revell I believe. From there I moved onto the standard cars, Apollo spacecraft, and other kid orientated kits. I don't know what got me started on Armor. I must have seen a Monogram tank kit one day and said "Mom...

What an awesome display! I have just scrolled through every photo twice (only disappointment, didn't find a single P-61) and will go through them again for sure. Thanks for sharing Jim, much appreciated. Cheers, D

Jim, Thanks for taking the time to post all those pics. I'm crazy enough to download them all to create a slide show for the digital photo frame in my hobby room. Excellent motivation while working. Ric

Hi Jim Many thanks for taking the time to post them all - and as others have said, there's some amazing inspirational work there. I can actually enjoy them this morning - last night a slow internet connection defeated me, and it was taking a couple of minutes to load up each pic, so I gave up. All the best Rowan

Jim, started to take a long slow look at all those incredible model builds, as it's going to take me quite some time to go through them all. Thanks for taking the time to photograph all of them, edit the lot, then post them here for us to enjoy. BTW, your comment on the lack of feedback is what many of us were discussing on a previous thread. At times it can be somewhat both depressing and disappointing. Yet view counts at least let one know that your post is being viewed. Joel

Jim, finally finished taking that long careful look at all those incredible models. Often I wonder which ones placed, as there is usually no way of knowing. You've included several models with their respective awards. Thanks for that. Joel

Marvelous work on display. Jim, excellent photography as well. You are to be commended on doing this for us and allowing us to see all the fine work which was displayed. It brings home to me how subjective winning an award for a model is. When you see how good all of these models are, no wonder sometimes people don't understand how some place and others don't!! Thanks again, Russell.
