Subject: North American B-25J Mitchell
Producer: HK Models
Scale: 1/32
Model kit of the B-25 Mitchell was released by its producer in 2012, until then there only available photographs of the assembled model build from the test-shots. My intention was to finish it in the Olive Drab/Natural Metal Finish scheme. For this purpose I purchased five different tones of Olive Drab: two from Model Master, one Humbrol and two Gunze “H series”. At the end I decided to use Gunze H's, mostly paint no. 52 with slight modifications with different other colour. The lower surfaces were painted with different Alclad metallizes. Painting and marking option represents the B-25J-2 “MMR” (Margaret Mary Rustin), s/n 43-27751 – nr. 50 (previously Roman “III”), pilot Lt. W.C. Morton from the 447th BS/ 321st BG deployed at Solenzara airbase, Corsica in late May 1944.
Improvements/add-ons used in my model:

Improvements/add-ons used in my model:
- Gun barrels were made by Czech company ProfiModeller, oxided using “Blackening Agent” fluid
- Set of Eduard's photo-etched fret
- Correction set for propeller blades
- Kits World decals

Hi Artur
Beautiful work! It's a kit that keeps nagging at me to buy it - even though I know it'd be very impractical for me to tackle in terms of both time and space...
All the best

Absolutely beautiful! I have not yet worked with metalizers and this project peaks my interest.

Arur, A really impressive build. Love the overall finish with the NMF on the bottom. And those engines look spectacular.
My only issue is that you didn't include anything in your pictures to give us some sense of the massive size of the B25.

I'm speechless. Those interior detail pictures are truly outstanding. So is that PE work. Please post anymore detail pictures you have of your build.

The more I keep on looking at 1/32 builds, the harder it remains to stay within my 1/48 scale comfort zone. Just the detail of the parts in general, and the larger size of everything makes it so much more appealing these days. Of course the big two negatives is the price and just where to display/store the finished models.
