Earning 45 votes, January's Model of the Month is a 1/72 Dassault Super Mystère by pbaudru

AZ Model released this state-of-the-art kit in 2011, finally replacing the ancient Airfix kit from the 1970s. Pierre reports that the detail parts and engraved panel lines are superior to the Airfix kit, but its fit problems tempted him on many occasions to try cross-kitting those details into the Airfix, because at least it fits!

In the end, Pierre triumphed over the fit and produced this masterpiece dressed in the markings of EC 2/12 'Cornouailles' squadron, Armée de l'Air.

Carmel says that he uses invisible thread to suspend his models for photography. The rest is careful camera angles.
