Macchi 205 III° Serie ANR

  • move
Here is my latest model of a Macchi 205 from the III° Serie, including pics of all the modifications needed to achieve a real 205 and not, like the model, a hybrid of the 202 and the 205. The plane belongs to the First Fighter Group of the ANR, 1st Squadriglia. The First had a red letter, the Second had a yellow one and the Third a blue one. I have used an SBS resin set for the cockpit, absolutely superb. The paint scheme is the Luftwaffe one applied to all the ANR planes after the failure of the German to incorporate the Italians in the Luftwaffe, a classic RLM 74/75/76 camouflage. Decals are from Sky, Hasegawa and Aeromaster.

Jean, Really nice attention to the needed corrections and additional details for a proper conversion to a Macchi 205 lll Serie SNR. What stands out to viewer like me, who has little knowledge of Italian WW11 aircraft, is the truly outstanding paint scheme, detailing, and weathering. Simply a suburb model. Joel
