The Vultee BT-13 Valiant was an American World War II-era basic trainer aircraft built by Vultee Aircraft for the United States Army Air Corps, and later US Army Air Forces. A subsequent variant of the BT-13 in USAAC/USAAF service was known as the BT-15 Valiant, while an identical version for the US Navy was known as the SNV and was used to train naval aviators for the US Navy and its sister services, the US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard.

'Vultee BT-13 Valiant', placed as monument of "Gedung Juang (Building of Fight) '45" located in Subang, West Java, Indonesia. Such plane was operated by Indonesian air force on period 1949. No sufficient historical information I can get, but I guess the plane was an 'unpredictable gift' from Dutch after its' defeat from Japan in 1942, but not yet effectively operated due to continued imperialism of Japan and unavailability of fighter pilot in Indonesia.

So many thanks to Ms. Jessica Cooper and Aeroscale team for giving me this great chance to make my first contribution here! Hope that all of you enjoy the photos and may become an adequate reference for everyone interested about Indonesian history, especially military aircraft used during post war independence period (after 1945). Do not hesitate to put any comments here, especially additional info about this Valiant due to insufficient information that I can collect.
