Nicely done Gary, I'm really looking forward to the next episode(s) and especially looking forward to the weathering process!

Hi Gary I have almost finished my Whirlwind in the green and grey scheme, I got it to compare it with the classic kit I built when it was first released. I finished that in the early scheme. Have a look on the Pathe news website there is some really good newsreel footage of Whirlwinds. Just type whirlwind in the search box on the site.

Gary,
As I posted back on August 7th, how much I enjoyed your build video part 1, and have been waiting for the next part to be posted. Any idea of when that will be?
Thanks,
Joel

Hi Joel
That's bizarre! I'm sure I watched the video reveal here on Aeroscale months ago. I can't find in now, though, but it is almost Halloween, so maybe some weird stuff is inevitable....
All the best

Rowan,
Now that's really strange, as I'm here almost every day, and a few times per day isn't that all uncommon. I don't recall seeing it. Will try to pm Gary for an update.

Gary, I've posted a few times about part 2, if indeed it was posted, then pulled, or never posted. Could you clear this up for us? Any idea of when you'll be posting part 2 as many of us have been looking forward to it.

I have imbedded the second video into this review, so now both can be viewed on the same page.
Enjoy

Gary,
I just watched part 2, and it was just as impressive as part 1. Your explanation of how you did the various roundels and then the lettering was quite an education, and a fascinating story. Even the antenna mask was an enjoyable adventure. The end results looks excellent. As for your tip of drilling a pilot hole into the canopy, I just might try that.
The finished Whirlwind is quite impressive to say the least. Your reference picture certainly backs up the amount of paint chipping you did. Otherwise I would have preferred a lesser amount, but that's just me.
