Thank you Mother for the pictures. I worked on 63 when the Det returned from their pac. Sure does bring back memories. Sure do miss the 46. Retired now from the Navy and the Navy retired the 46. Too bad that A/C is now sitting in the desert, A/C graveyard. But I really looked at how you built it and it is a great job. Thanks for the great build you did and the memories. 2 thumbs up!!!!!

Hello 46mech Welcome to Armorama. Thanks for the comments, it was fun to build. I have one more kit I like to build, this one with flames on it.
Jim, It's also nice to hear that someone was involved with an Aircraft that you built. As for the memories, do you have a place to park old No.63 ! I would'nt mind passing it along to you. I kinda get a kick out of it PM me if your interested.

Mother;
Love the helos. How did you do the stars and bars? Ever since I saw a pix of that helo in the OIF Squadron Book, I have wanted to make mine in those markings.
Thanx,

Hey Carl First welcome to Armorama. I see that your a long time member and a first time poster As for the painting, well I started out masking off the flag area first using low-tac masking tape. White was painted on first, once dryed I masked of for the red stripping. When it was time to paint the blue, I placed on these die-cut masking stars over the white area and then sprayed the blue on and over the stars. After about 20 minutes I pulled off the stars using a hobby knife.
Here's a few pics:

Mother:
Thanx for the reply. I fogot I joined this site until I recently "discovered" it and thought I would join I guess I had a temporary brain freeze. It definitely sounds like something I could do. I have gotten the kit of the shelf and dusted off my book and will finish. I will post some pics when I get done (hopefully). You've inspired me.
Thanx,
Carl
