Hey All,
Need some help here.
I purchased the Flashback SM79 Italian bomber 1/48th scale as well as the Squadron reference book #71 on the SM79. Building is coming along slowly, but making progress nonetheless. Right now I am completing the cockpit and now thinking on what the camo pattern is.
Unfortunately the kit only comes with one set of decals for a plane from 6 Squadriglia BT in Ethiopia in 1940. I was looking in the reference book on pages 26 and 27 and the book shows a lot of really of very interesting camoflage and decal patterns. I am right now looking for decals for a torpedo bomber plan from the 278a Squadriglia from the spring of 1941. In looking on-line it seems that a decal sheet for this plane was made, but not sure who made it. Some online builds suggest it was made by Classic airframes.
So, does somebody have an idea of where a decal sheet with this pattern can be found?
Thanks in advance,
Marty

Hi Marty!
The Flashback kit is a reboxing of the Classic Airframes SM79, issued by Eduard (FB is a subsidary(?) to Ed.)!
I got three different options in my box, wonder why you only got one?
Best place to find another decal sheet may be to contact Eduard.
Perhaps I have the decals you need, if It´s a different option then I choosed?
I wrote a feature on this kit some time ago, don´t know If you have read It, but here´s the link;
https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net//features/1088&page=1
Perhaps you may find something useful there!
Good luck with your bild, and Please show us some pics of your build!
Oh, please let me know what decals you might need for the option you want to build.
You have to be more specific as I don´t have that book myself.
Cheers!

Thanks Stefan,
In checking again I do have three options but they are still not what I was looking for. I will check with Eduard if any other decals are available but I think the decals I am looking for were from the Trumpeter 1/48 SM79 kit.
What I was specifically looking for was decals from the plane found on this website: [url=http://www.eaf51.org/Photo_22_S.79.htm] . The plane is shown about 40% down. It has 279 on the side.

Hi Marty
I was just browsing the website for Italian Kits (www.italiankits.it) and I see that Skymodels do a set of decals at 1:48 scale (Ref SKY48-018) that might be what you're looking for. It lists the following aircraft:
1/48th decal sheet for Sparviero bombers and torpedoes. 281a Sq Magg.Buscaglia Rodi 1941; 60a Sq. 11°St,18a Sq.1941, 281a Sq. Cap.Faggioni 1941; 283a Sq. Elmas 1941; 193a Sq.Sicilia 1941; ANR Cap.Faggioni 1944; 253a Sq. 1942, 257a Sq. Castelvetrano 1940;278a Sq. Sicilia 1941; 1a Sq.ANR Cap.Marini,Gibilterra 1944; 58a Sq.Palermo 1942.

Many, many thanks Greg. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Marty
P.S. I will post some pictures of where I am at. This is going to be a long term build for me.
