Hi guys. Does anyone have any deatail or info about the Turkish (ottoman actually) Fokker D.VII paint scheme? I just found one profile and that seems olive green all over with black and white Ottoman flying corps insignia. Does anyone have any info about this? Thanks alot.

Some years ago Pete Grosz and Brian Flanagan compiled a list of all known German aircraft supplied to the Turkish units. The serial numbers are listed as Albatros built Fokker D.VII 160hp (modified to180hp) Mercedes.
seial number 5203/18 : werke number 5749
s/n 5291/18 : w/n 5980
s/n 5297/18 : w/n 5996
s/n 5303/18 : w/n 5902
s/n 5331/18 : w/n 5950
s/n 5333/18 : w/n 5981
s/n 5336/18 : w/n 5935
(5303/18 and 5336/18 are listed with Ottoman Fl.Abt.9 in October 1918.)
These all began service in 4 or 5 colour lozenge on all fabric sufaces and were from a production order to Albatros for 400 Fok.D.VII aircraft, serial numbers D.5200/18 to 5599/18.
While it is possible that they were overpainted at some point, it also may be that the artist simplified the scheme. It is unlikely they overpainted them right after receiving them. What is the date for the profile representation? (When does the artist say that the machine looked like his version?)

Thank you very much Stephen. This is the link to the referance I mentioned . I am not totally sure that it is right ,but maybe. Never the less I haven't seen any other reference. I know that all the D.VII come with lozenge out of the factory , but the Russian and Ukranian ones are green too (I know they are after the war). And I didn't see any camouflaged Turkish aircraft in WWI photos either. So what do you think I should do, lozenge all over or green?

Quoting the same website.
". . . The deployment date is October 1918. All of the planes were assigned to 9th Airplane Co. and to 6th Airplane Co. but they were sent to be stored at the Maltepe warehouse due to Armistice ending the War. . ."
If they were only operational from Oct. - Nov. 1918 I would leave then in the lozenge until you see a photo reference that is different. Just my opinion.
