Hi,guys
I'm now starting my first trail on a 1/144 aircraft from the Japanese brand SWEET.
Now more and more 1/144 aircraft coming out, does a 1/144 revolution coming?

The box contains two aircraft and several painting scheme, here I'll try the famous O'Hare

You can see the excellent details on the spures, are they really 1/144?

It seems that 0.5mm brass needles are issential because plastic parts can't be released stately in the scale 1/144
Here I use 0.5mm brass needles to replace the guns on the wings.

Hi Steffen!

Yes, Sweet made the FM-2 Wildcat as stated on the box.

The options in this boxing are all preserved FM-2´s, painted as famous F4F-3 and F4F-4´s (the British ac belongs to Duxford, the yellow winged ac belongs to CAF) .

@RF;

Nice build, these are really SWEET kits!
I have them all and in 1/144 You can build as many as You want, as they require almost no shelf space!
I can recommend you also try PLATZ small 1/144 kits as P-51D´s, FW-190D-9´s and F-8 Crusaders.

They are just as good as the Sweet kits!

The small scale is coming back and are now accepted as "real model kits" and not just toys!

Cheers!

Nice one... I built one of these kitties a wile ago but didn't finish it yet. Sweet is a crazy company. I finished one of the Bf109s last weekend.
Stefan, I agree about the D-9 (which I am also building at the moment, terrific kit how evet it has some minor problems) but if the F-8 is like the F-4EJ, which is also from F-TOYS mold it is not a good kit. But ok We have no other choice in the stated scale eheheh....

Hi Steffen
You're right that O'Hare did fly a F4F that day and I've noticed that, the biggest difference between the two types is that the radio structure of F4F on the back is lean to the cockpit, while the early one is not.
And my next work is to make the structure.
Thank you for noting that.

Hi Stefan,
Actually when I received the box,I doubted whether it's a scale model because the box art is totally a piece of Japanese cartoon.
But after opened the box, the details nearly Take My Breath Away.Haa

Hi Yalım and RF!

I agree, the Platz F-4EJ was not a very good kit, beeing quite crude, as were the other ex-F-toys kits (F-16, F-104 and F-2).

But thankfully, The F-8 Crusader is a completley different creature!

This kit are as good (or even better!) as the P-51´s or any of the SWEET kits!
I have three F-8 boxes (six kits) in my stash and one of them Is high on the to-do list!

Platz have announced a P-47 Thunderbolt and SWEET will do a F6F Hellcat!

1/144 scale is on the move!

Cheers!
