Attic Aircraft has released a 1:48 resin conversion for the Hasegawa SH-3H kit to convert it into a Jolly Green Giant. While there are a couple of old 1:72 scale kits out there, this is the first opportunity we've had as modelers for a 1:48 Jolly Green Giant (short of performing b]major[/b] surgery)

1:48 Attic HH-3E Conversion

I placed my order on 15 June and it hasn't arrived yet. I e-mailed Attic over the weekend about my conversion and was told "we ship all our items within 15 business days" so mine should ship out by end of this week if it hasn't already. Once it arrives, I'll post photos of the parts.

Interesting news!

I do not think I will ever build one of these in 1/48, but I would really like to hear about the conversion anyway.

Those resin parts look massive. I could fear that warping and/or shrinking could be a problem. But that is just me being pessimistic

The decals that came with it

Yes, those are the national insignia from a Monogram kit.
