Hi guys!
This is one of my first posts ever over here, although I'm quite active on kitmaker.net, mainly in the Benelux-section, and mainly in the armor-section.
Howerever, I've been reading the Aeoscale forums quite a while (and watching the 'on-displays' with great awe), and this seems a nice place
As a young modeller I started of with a Mig21, a B17, ... but soon after switched to armor. These days, the airplanes are attracting my attention again, with a beautiful F4U-1A Corsair (the 1/48 tamiya) and Mig21 (1/72 latest revell release) on the shelf, surrounded by some armor-stuff.
The last airplane I did before this one was a Mustang - I just checked when that was exactly, and it turns out that it was more then 4 years ago! My God! Time really does fly...
This being said, I wanted to show you my last build. I took the pics last week, I fixed some minor flaws since - see if someone can spot some
But basically this is how this Stuka is right now.
Overall I'm quite happy with it, although some things are not as neatly finished as I wanted. Especially the canopy is a spoiler.
Some comments would be great, some tips or constructive feedback are welcome - I'm not totally opposed against the idea of still changing some things

Hans,
Thanks for giving the rest of us a look at your aircraft work, it's wonderfully done. You managed a great bit of detail for 1/72 scale (my chosen scale). Well Done.

Hi Hans!
Very nice model! Especially in this smalll scale!
Often when Armor modelers do aircraft, they tend to exaggerate the weathering. Not in your case, it looks just right for a "Desert stuka".

I don't see many. To nitpick a little I would say the finish is too matt. I prefer a satin finish for my models. The fuselage cross is not aligned with the letters (or the contrary) but this could have been the case on the real aircraft (!?). Finally a seam is visible at the trailing edge of the wing. But I suppose you would have had to cut away the flaps to eliminate it.
Well, these are only minor things and let me tell you again that this is a superb looking model. I like it!

Good to have you on the forum.
Great result on your Stuka. I cannot find any mistakes, so cannot have been a lot of things you fixed
Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the comments guys.
Indeed, there's a nasty looking seam on the trailing edge of the wing. Guess I never wanted to see it, because of the difficult position. Too late to change now...
It looks a bit too matt, I agree. I might give it a more satin sheen.
Thanks all!
