Stug, the Navy uses the Gull Gray colors on the low-viz birds. 2 tone schemes are often Dark Gull FS36231 on the upper surfaces and Gull FS36440 on the bottom. Single tone is overall Dark Gull FS36231. At least this is what I've been told to use on my lo-viz Tomcats.

Lord Steveus Khan,
May I inquire with all those big stuff, 1/32 planes, 1/16 armors, 1/35 Morser, and I am sure once the K5 came out, you get one too. How you gonna display them? #:-)
Now admit it, you had rent half of the carrier deck to do it........

I just finished a Revell F-14D not too long ago and the instructions had you use Polly Scale Light and Dark US Ghost Gray. I think the colors look pretty good on the bird. I'll try and post some pics tomorrow.

Stug:
Another option if not using the Tamiya paints is Testors Dark Ghost Gray (fs4761) for the top and light ghost gray(fs4762) for the bottom. From the photos I have seen these two match up the closest without having to mix.
hope this helps
