As mr. Lawson always says "here's a bit of fun":
I few weeks ago I "won" this book on Ebay:
As WW1 modelling was quit popular in those days, the books mentions a few things about the subject. It pretty much gives an idea what was common practise in those days, I made a few scans.
"Red predominating"(!?)
That sums up the rigging "instruction".
At last a nice image:
I wonder if Aurora is really getting back in bussiness and if they are going to republish this book as well .
Greetings, Nico

Hi Nico!
Thanks for sharing!
I like the "ground piece" which "adds action and excitement to the display".
Now has someone something similar with the Matchbox kits?
Jean-Luc

Hi Nico.
Very interesting reading!
Its amazing how the hobby has progressed over the years.
I wonder if anyone can hold their hand up and say " I had this book when I was a kid"?
If you come across any other pages youd like to scan and post Id be very interested in reading more.

Well, Jean-Luc, it was nice when some kits at least came with crewmen
