Who would have believed that anyone would be able to supply kabuki type masking tape, on a roll, as thin as 0.5mm. Well Cammet have done it.

Hi all!

I've sent a PM to Mal about the broken link. Meanwhile you can use this one: Micro Tape

Hi Rowan!

See, if I had had admin access I would have fixed it a few minutes earlier than you...

Me. I got Aizu Micron Masking Tape from Hobbylink Japan. About £1 ($1.60) for a 5m roll. Postage wasn't that expensive either.

Hi Antoni!

I have purchased both and we should compare what is comparable. Below is a picture with Cammett’s Micro Tape (left) and Aizu's tape (right). The latter is 8m long and it seems the Micro Tape is longer. Unfortunately, the length isn't written on the Cammet tape's label.

Mal, it would be nice if you could check how long the Cammett Micro tape are so we could compare the cost/length ratio of each. But Antoni is right, this was done before...

I'll ask Robin Carpenter of Cammett about the length. One thing that I didn't mention is that I think that Micro Tape is thinner than other tape, certainly Tamiya's, as it will curve much easier, on the flat, than Tamiya's stuff, as I did say.

I got the reply from Cammett, Micro tape is 25m long. So that would make Aizu Micron Masking equivalent to £5.00 plus postage. I'll stick with the UK supplier and, as you won't be using it up that fast, get it at model shows and sve the postage anyway. Cammett seem to get to most shows around the country.
