I am wondering if anyone has ever used the Foster mount, part A23, on the Eduard Nieuport 17. Strange as it seems the part is marked out as not for use in the RFC version of the kit. That being said the directions do not show how to attach the mount. Has this been shown in the instructions of any incarnation of the 17? Do you cut off the triangular portion of part A24 and utilize A 23? Any help appreciated. For those of you following my Bloody April campaign entry you know I don't have much time for scratchbuilding a better mount

Hi Rick;
It would almost certainly have to be used with the in the wing "plug / post " mount. The track would curve down from behind at the top of the post. You would do well to keep the track and scratch the bracings from metal wire/ rod. Might save you some time. Though if it were me I would go with the simple two post set up. Most RFC birds had that if memory serves. Just a thought.
