Need Vallejo color suggestion

I work exclusively with Vallejo paints and I need a suggestion for which of their colors would work as a Navy Blue for a Corsair.

Try their website. You will have to dig around a bit but they have charts x-ref their paints with other ranges and with FS numbers.

Hi there

Welcome to Aeroscale.

The original colour was ANA 623 Glossy Sea Blue - which equates to FS 15042. Vallejo don't do the colour as a gloss paint, but their suggested match is ModelColor #898 (strangely, there doesn't seem to be a ModelAir equivalent), which would need a gloss varnish. I have to admit I haven't tried the Vallejo colour, so I can't vouch for its accuracy.

While we're at it, how about the green for the interior. Is there an FS number I can cross reference for that to get the Vallejo color?

Hi again

IPMS Stockholm have a very nice article on WW2 US Navy interior colours. According to David Klaus's IPMS Color Cross Reference, FS 24151 is a fair match for ANA 611 Interior Green - Vallejo Mode lAir #71010 (this time the it's not in the Model Color range! ).
