Blackburn RocPosted: Saturday, July 21, 2007 - 07:45 PM UTC
The worst British aircraft of WW2? The Blackburn Roc must certainly be in there with a shout for the title! But perhaps it''s the very fact that the full-sized machine was so lack-lustre that makes it such an appealing subject for a model - and Special Hobby''s new 1/48 scale kit is very nice indeed.

Another Finnish (well, kind of) subject from special hobby, interesting.
Btw, what's the paint scheme pointed out for the would-be Finnish aircraft?
Those swastikas on the decal sheet looked odd, so I dug out pics of AML's decal sheet which featured the same Roc as this kit.
Here
Fleet air arm(?) scheme and just white discs as transportation markings.

Nice review Rowan.
The Roc and the Skua might not be the most beautiful aircraft in the world but they do have character.

Hi Eetu
Here's Special Hobby's interpretation of the scheme:
All the best
