Has anyone built the Italeri AC-130 in 1:48. I have always been fascinated by this airpcraft. Is the the kit of good quality?
thanks,

Hey Errin,
It's a great kit and goes togather well. I had no fit problems what so ever. It does how ever have raised panel lines along with so missing. The cockpt area is pretty close to accurate, but it does leave room for improvement. Personally I wouldn’t bother as you really can’t see it. The cargo bay area is simple, but there are enough on-line photos to detail the area up if you decide to leave the ramp down. What I did with mine was to do some detailing and I chained down a 1/48th Huey Helicopter. The blades were removed and placed on wooden pallets.
Here some links...

Darn it…I should have paid attention to the title, you were looking for the Gunship type. Well it’s basically the same kit except that it has the armament. Gino (HeavyArty) has done one, I’m sure he’ll be along to answer your question. In the mean time here are some walkarounds.
