Anybody interested in a Battle for Europe Campaign? It would include any aircraft that participated in the Battle for Europe in WWII.

Hi Carl!
I too think it's a bit vague. Do you want to include ALL the Battles in Europe?
- Blitzkrieg (Poland, Low Countries, Norway, France...)
- Battle of Britain
- Balkan theatre (Operation Marita and Merkur)
- Mediterranean theatre (Malta)
- Atlantic theatre (U-Boat and Fw 200 Condor chase)
- Operation Barbarossa (Invasion of Russia)
- Defence of the Reich
- Italy Theatre
- Operation Bodenplatte
- Fall of the Reich
- etc...
Personnaly I would be more specific, but this is only a personnal opinion. If people think a Battle for Europe Campaign as a whole would be nice, why not. But you should define if Barbarossa for exemple is part of it?

Hi Carl
I am on for this one. However, I would also specify it a bit.
For example:
Eastern front '41-45
Defence of the Reich '40-45
In any case I am in for this one even if it is broadly defined.
Good initiative

Hi all!
I´m in on this too, no matter what definition it might be!
But I would also get the Campaign a bit more specific!
Please, give me a good excuse to build my Special Hobby/MPM Heinkel He-177 "Greif"!
Cheers!

Here I go... throw me in too. I've got a couple Spitfires and/or a BoB Hurricane and the list goes on... and on... and on...

I understand you, Stefan. It is a beautiful bird with some very nice camouflage possibilities.
I have the Revel 1/72 version. It looks pretty nice, but I think I will wait until I can find some masks for the cockpit. I really would not like to make masks myself or handpaint it.
I am thinking a Heinkel 111 A6, but maybe this one will be used for the twin spinners campaign.

Hi Carl:
Count me in. Europe is big enough so I believe that another Moosie will be right. It will be a Bomber Mk IV in 1/72.

My thoughts would be anything that battled over the european continent or contigious waters in combat from 1939-1945. This would include aircraft that participated in naval battles such as "Sink the Bismark" They must be in Europen Camo. No African colors allowed. I think it should be kept open to the entire conflict to encourage participation.
Sorry it took so long to post. I have actually been spending time building.

Well, that is definently a very broad definition. Especially if you count the European continent from the Urals to the Portugese coast and from Greenland to the tip of Sicily.
Anyway, I guess it is not much more broad than the Pacific campaign.
I am in for sure.

I went to my LHS yesterday and picked up Trumpeters 1/32 P-47 Razorback and Me 262 Heavy Armor. This might be an interesting campaign.

Feel free to adjust the dates as you feel neccessary.
There was also some chatter about combining with some of the armor people. They could fight their ground campaign, and we could be air support. I know Jesper wanted to provide artillery support to my Tiger I and this is really getting complicated....
