Now here is a bit of fun!

Recently I received the 1/32 Roden Pfalz D.III for a "kit review / on line build" But lo and behold! that wasn't all that was in the box. Somehow the good folks at Roden had the insight to send out a couple of 2007 full colour full sized catalogs.

And several Mini -catalogs.

Now for the fun part. I will award these beauties (and the graphics are impressive!) to three Aeroscale members. Here is what you have to do.

Post on this thread 2 different images of any single completed Roden kit representing an Early Aviation aircraft. Any scale they produce. Images must be no larger than 650 X 750 pixels.

In otherwords any Roden kit you already have completed, have in progress or are thinking of building is eligible. This contest runs from today until one month from today. Aug, 28 2007. I am sole judge and I will be looking for a well built kit. Staffers are not eligible. So any member with a completed or unfinished kit can post images of the completed build to compete. Model On!!!

Several questions have come to light.
1. ". . .How many Roden models can I post. . ."

As many as you want but only two of each kit.

2. ". . .What are the catalogs like?. . ."

The Mini is 38 pages of images at about 3 X 5 inches.

The Full sized is 33 pages with text and images. The text describes historical data on all of their kits. WWI - WWII aircraft and vehicles. Size is about 8 X 12 inches,

Here's my only completed Roden kit to date - their 1/48 Fokker D.VII (Fok Early) with some Part of Poland etched parts thrown in.

Hopefully if I get their 1/32 Albatros done by end of August I will post it here also...

Whoehoe,

I am afraid I can never compete with these beautifull kits above, but will post pictures of completed Roden kits I built over the last three years:

1/72 Sopwith Camel

1/48 Fokker DVII Dutch markings 1925

1/72 Junkers D1

And,... a biplane from WW2 (my first Roden kit):

1/48 Gloster Sea Gladiator

Am working on Roden's BE2c right now, will add pic's when it looks more like an aircraft then it does at this moment.

Greetings, Nico

Hello,

hereby one more Roden kit. It's the BE2c and work done untill today:

I hope to finish it within two weeks.

One can see I am a good customer of Roden. Even more taking in consideratio my stash, where SE5a, Nieuport 28, Sopwith 1,5 Strutter (all 48th scale) and a Staaken and Gotha can be found.

Greetings, Nico
