I'm building an ICM 1/48 scale Spitfire Mk. VII. Does the Spitfire Mk. VII have the fairings to house a portion of the main landing gear tires, inboard of the cannon drum fairings? Also does anyone have good reference on the canopy and associated gear for the pressurizing that aircraft? I'm in the process of getting every publication(s) I can on "Spits"
Thank you

The extra bulges on the wings are a post-war feature of Mk IXs. After the war the RAF were operating from hard surfaces instead of grass and a more robust set of wheels/tyres were required. They are not found on Mk VIIs or war-time Mk IXs.
The canopy incorporated a sliding Lobelle transparency. The hinged door on the side of the cockpit was omitted, replaced with hinged sides. An inflatable seal was added under the canopy to make it airtight. The cockpit transparency itself was double glazed, silca gel being used to de-hydrate the air.
