Hi. I just bought this aircraft as my first try at this scale. I´m planning to use some aftermarket set (or sets) to get some better detail.
Aires has a resin cockpit and wheelbays, Eduard have several sets, interior, exterior and a pre-painted instrument panel. I do not intend to use all sets since some details can be found in several of them so I´m a bit confused.
Which set or sets will make the best of this kit?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Torbjörn!
Trumpeters Corsair is a nice kit, but It benefits frome some "spiffing up" !
The kit cockpit is quite good as-Is, but a resin pit is always nice.
Eduards sets with the pre-painted instrument panels are beautiful and adds much to the pit, as does some seat belts.
New cowling gills (kylklaffar) Is a must, though.
Trumpeter have missed that totally, they look just plain wrong!
The engine needs wiring and some thinning down as it is about 2mm too long so the prop stands too far from the cowling.
Wheigted resin wheels and new decals Is also an option.
Everything depends on how much you are prepared to spend!
I have two Corsairs in the stash, but no built so far!
The flap and hinges may look fiddly, and they really are!
But take your time and be patient, and it will work!
Good luck with your build and please show us some pics along the way!
Cheers!

Who makes new cooling gills and resin wheels for this kit? As I mainly build armour I don´t know much about aftermarket companies for planes.
