Here are some pics of my just finished 1/48 scale Monogram Fw 190, this kit is so old some may not have ever known Monogram ever made a Fw 190 kit that was from their own molds (decades ahead of Trimaster or Dragon).
My model is marked as a machine operated by 2./JG 11 in 1943.

Hi Les,
What a beauty!
I do not know how many Monogram FWs I have built, but have one on the shelf and one pending decaling. Maybe it is nostalgia, but I love this old kit.
Sure, it has raised rivets and panel lines, and no gear well interior, but I like her. No cockpit side detail but a reasonable cockpit tub. Lots of external stores. Lots of decals.
A modern kit it ain't, but your's is finished up competative with any others!

Thanks very much Fred!
These old Monogram kits are still worth building, I re-worked the spinner and prop and changed the angle of the landing gear legs slightly and it made this older kit look much better. The basic shape and outline of this model looks good for a 40 year old kit

Thank you zokx,
Taking pictures of my models is a nice way to get some sunshine and fresh air, I take all my pictures outside to take advantage of the natural lighting conditions.
