When is a Jeep not a Jeep?...Posted: Saturday, August 18, 2007 - 09:54 AM UTC
Answer: When it's Tamiya''s "light military vehicle" - almost hidden out of sight inside this innocuous set of 1/48 scale US Army figures. I'd love to know the full story behind this release...

Interesting, by the box art you wouldn't suspect the Jeep was even in there

I think the answer to the question in the topic is:
...When it's a registered trademark and owned by a greedy multimillion multinational faceless corporation!

Hi Rowan!
Interesting! Both the review and the fact that Tamiya can't use the word "Jeep".
So if I understand well, they probably have the autorisation to reproduce the vehicle but not to use the tradmarked name it has... what a wonderful world we are living in!

Strange, they can make jeeps without mentioning the trademark, but aircraft companies demand royalties. And what do we get? We can now a buy a piece of " officially licensed merchadise"
