Well Folks, I have been working on this one on and off for the last 3 months. I built it because I wanted to try my hand on a NMF aircraft. I realized I didn't have anything completed for this months MoM. So I finished off the decals yesterday and final assembly and photos a few minutes ago.

The decals were great. Good color, perfect registration, a little on the thick side, but they settled down with a little solution.

This is a colorful bird. My first try at a NMF, if you don't count the silver spray cans I used back in the 60s and 70s. The Olive Drab anti glare was supplied as a decal. But I chose to mask and spray.

I picked this kit up about two years ago in a toy store in Nashville while visitng relatives.

It almost looks like you are walking up on the real thing. This is a plane that flew in Korea. I can almost smell the Kimchee in the air.

The kit has a photoetch ladder assembly that I set aside. It would be a good kit for a diorama.

This kit went together like a dream. No fit problems at all. There were a few minor blemishes and som ejector pin marks. But nothing that shows after some minimal work.

Back to the decals. This kit literally has a hundred stencils to add if you wish. It took a full day to do the decals.

The build was easy. I would reccomend this kit for any modeler regardless of skill level. A beginner can make a great looking Thunderjet with a minimum of paint colors. An advanced modeler will find ample opportunity to detail.
