I would like to take a minute of your time fellow forumites. I would like to give a huge Thank You to Stephen Lawson. As we all know one of Stephen's passions is WWI aviation and the brave pilots who flew these wonderful airplanes. The amount of time he spends sharing his extensive knowledge with us is very commendable. He doesn't have to do what he does. You can see it is a true labor of love with him. I for one, learn something new each time he writes.

I truly believe he wants to see everyone succeed in their builds and he unselfishly gives us all the information, pictures, reference data, and experience to do that. Life goes by rather quickly, and as we all enjoy this wonderful hobby, I just wanted to stop a minute and thank Stephen for his time in sharing his knowledge with us. Because he makes us all better modelers for his contributions. So, Stephen, Thank You for all that you do!! We honestly are indebted to you and your knowledge. Salute!

GROUPHUG!!!!

LOL, just kidding, but ditto to what they said. Reading Stephen's posts is what got me drawn into building WWI kits in the first place.

Modelers,
All I can ad is that Stephen has always taken the time, our most precious commodity, to answer all of my questions, regardless of how silly some now seem to be. He is also extremely patient and understanding which leads me to conclude that he must be someone whom anyone would be lucky to know personally and consider a friend. You are certainly a diamond in the rough. Thank you for your dedication to this forum and to the hobby, they are better for having you be a part of them.

I agree!

I have not started down the WWI road (yet) but because of Stephens' posts and all of you WWI guys, I will be trying my hand at the Roden Fokker D.VII in the next week or so. Thanks

-Derek

P.S. This is also how I feel about ALL of those who put in the hard labor here at Aeroscale.
