Those movie clips are GREAT!!! I liked Flyboys OK but it seemed a little odd to me that every German pilot except one flew a red triplane.
Both of these clips are so much more realistic and believable, at least in that respect to me
I can't wait for either one to be released.
Thanks for the clips

This film looks amazing. I saw "Flyboys", and thought it was, well, "tripe" (no pun intended) from a historical accuracy standpoint. I never realized that DR.1's were in use about a year before they actually were (the DR.1 first came into service in August 1917, about a year after the film takes place), and that every single one of them was red. The true German fighter planes of the day would likely have been either an Albatros D.V or a Pfalz fighter. The Pfalz was actually a beautiful aircraft, and would have looked great in the film.

"The Red Baron", on the other hand....looks far superior. I am so going to buy the DVD on this one.

....Aside from the fact that some Germans are a little uncomfortable with the sensitive portrayal of a German ' war hero' most of the 'criticism' seems to indicate that there is not enough flying action in the film ....a friend said to me that he thought it was 15 minutes too long & was short of at least one major action sequence. Overall though he still rated it as probably the best German film of recent years...

Has anyone heard when this film will see an international release? In particular, how about the U.S.?
