I am looking for a set of these.
Does anybody know of AM set that is available?
Academy has them but after reading I don't want to use them.
Thanks

Jeff,
Here is a link to Great Models. They are an advertiser here also. I looked and they do have in stock a lot of P-38 stuff, including decals. I did not see if they have the one you are looking for.

Thanks but not one of them was right.
I guess I might use the kit Decals and give them a strong coat of Micro set Micro sol.

Good luck with the micro set/sol, I seem to remember when Camogirl did a review of the 1/72 Arkansas Traveller P-38 by Academy for a magazine, she used Daco's strong setting solution. Which worked at first and the decals settled nicely but now the kit has sat on a shelf for a while some of the decals are starting to peel away. Hope you have better fortunes I guess I might use the kit Decals and give them a strong coat of Micro set Micro sol.

Boy I tell you that sucks.
Did she email Academy with a picture of the problem?
Did she try Dullcoat to seal them down over future?
I will if this happens.
And might add a few strong words also to it

I know for a fact that Sam always put a coat of klear/Future over the top of all her decals to seal them before she weathers the plane (especially as this was a NMF plane). Oddly enough it's not the nose art or bigger decals that are lifting, it's the stencils that look to be the worst culprits

Wasn't doubting it just asking.
Strange indeed after all that work.
Bummer
