Anyone who can make that great chrome scheme like the color of the car. I want to make that same color scheme. You cannot do it with one spraypaint right? Any color combinations? :-)

I believe Alclad (II?) does it quite well.

Cheers,

Alclad II has a chrome which is very good! I haven't used myself, but while I was in Helsinki with Envar I saw a test piece done with the color!! To make the paint work correctly you have to paint gloss black first, then after that you put the chrome on. It looks awesome, just like the real stuff -not the cheap look a cheaper car model might have, but a quality chrome look you would find on real cars!!

For 35ml I have to pay 75SEK here in Sweden, so it is not the cheapest paint, but after getting the hang of it well worth its cost I bet!!

Have fun!!

Hunter Cottage has it right. Alclad has two chromes, one is extremely glossy. Just follow the instructions which require a gloss black ACRYLIC basecoat to get the effect. These are lacquers, so do not use over bare plastic.

I have just started using Alclad. I start with flat white or another "primer" to find any flaws, as everything will show up under a metallic paint. After I repair any flaws in seams, etc., I use an acrylic coat over the flat to get the smooth surface. Use the Alclad without thinning, although you will need an airbrush. (NOTE: I have heard they are starting to produce Alclad in spray cans). The color of the acrylic basecoat can be varied to change effects of the metal coat.

Hope this helps.
