Hi All,

I have just bought myself the Revell 148th B1B (what a kit !).
There are two Eduard photo etch sets available for it, ED 48325 and 48429.
One is an engine nozzle update and the other a general update.
However, the general set also includes nozzle update parts.
The question is, does anyone know if the general set includes all the parts of the nozzle update, making the other set useful if you only wanting to update the nozzles or is the nozzle update needed in conjunction with the other set to obtain the best results ?

All the best,

Kristian.

Have you checked the Eduard website? They have the instructions sheets for their PE sets online and you should be able to see from these if they are redundant.

I could only find 48325 and 48449. Are the items you listed correct? If not, and 48449 is the correct item code, then the 2 sets look very different. 48449 looks like it replaces the whole nozzle with PE bits where as 48325 only appears to have afterburner ring inserts.

Hope this helps

Hi Wiz,

I checked Eduard's site before I posted. I can only see the exhaust rings but not the nozzles and from what i can make out the instructions make no mention of the exhaust at all.
i was wondering if they had updated the set but not the instructions on the site.

All the best,

Kristian.

Hi again Wiz,

Sorry, I did mean 48499 not 48429. Anyway, evidently both sets are required to super detail the model.

All the best,

Kristian.

On 48499 (correct number from me this time...) all the long pieces of PE are the "feathers" and actuators... all power to the person that has the patience and skill to go through that process four times. I am sure it would make an incredible representation of the engine nozzles though.
