Here are some pics. Most of you have probably already seen this model, since i posted it a couple of weeks ago when i had finished it. Quality of the pics isnt great, but you get the idea.

Congrats, Dolf!! It's always good to get some kind of acknowledgment for the quality of your work. Keep showing, and rack up those awards.

:-) Hey Dolf,
You sound surprised, I'm not, this is one cool looking model. I bet you were up against airbrushed models as well? Cos if I remember right this is hand painted? If I'm right and there had been any recognition of this fact, you would have won! :-)
You are right to be proud. You must let us know where you got references for this scheme, it is so cool. What kit is it? is it a 190A-6 or -8? can't quit tell from the pics, in the second one it looks like an A-6, but in the rest the cowling gun bulges look like they belong to an A-8. Just curious as I have just begun to back date an A-8 to an A-6. :-)

Thanks all :-)
Well, i didnt paricipate in a show or something. It was an online contest by Best1hobby with a category 1/48 aircraft in it. There were 5 entries, one of which was mine. So it isnt really a big achievement, but still: "Its the first prize ive ever won !!"
I won bronze price, which means : $15.00 to be spend at Best1hobby.
Should have clarified that in the beginning, but was so excited that i forgot
The BIG contest im waiting for is the IPMS Nationals in November. Hope i can submit a couple of good kits then.
Holdfast
Yup, youre right, this model was hand painted and the other four entries were airbrushed.
The kit is a Tamiya 1/48 FW 190 F-8. Reference material i used is Squadrons "FW 190 in action". I stumbled upon one picture and one drawing showing this camo scheme and immediately decided to paint it that way. Reason is that im a big fan of non-standard camo schemes, like this one and the "Wellenmuster" camo schemes.
PM me if youre interested in the referencematerial :-)
