...and her Pursuers

Shrouded in controversy as , the XP-86 Sabre, Miles M.52, DFS 346, Messerschmitt Me 262 and others were reported to have broken the “sound barrier”, but alas the credit and recognition were in the end given to Chuck Yeager in the Bell X-1, on October 14, 1947. (60 years ago this Sunday)

Hi Chuck!

Very nice collection of vintage jets! And a great way to celebrate the 60th anniversary. Did you built the kits for this special occasion?

Anyway, congratulations and thanks for sharing. I suppose a feature is on the way!

Jean-Luc,

Yes the kits were build to celebrate the 60th anniversary, an idea put forth by our friend Rowan, in an effort to bring me out of a slump (had a bit of modelers block).

As for them being a "collection of vintage jets", you have no idea . Those kits are at least 20 to 30 years old (just now built, but that old, they've been in my stash that long). If you think those are "vintage" wait till you see the next couple projects in the works

Thanks for the kind words.

Old for one thing. The T-33 is Heller, the F-86A is Matchbox, and the X-1 is HobbyCraft.

Hi Chuck

Superb as usual!

But I think this deserves a Feature too! You always undersell yourself when it comes to your dioramas - honestly, I should act as your agent!

All the best
