Cockpit, wheel wells, etc interior color? Have read that it is Zince Cromate Green (Model Master makes this color) and have heard some people argue to use Model Master Interior Green.

Comments thoughts would be much appreciated.

The matter of colour is somewhat complicated by the need to use up old stocks of paint, which resulted in some variations during production but these notes might help.

Interior green would be correct for a -5 cockpit with black above the instrument consoles.

The inside of the engine cowling would probably be matt black for a -5, but grey, interior green and zinc chromate have also been noted as possibilities especially on earlier production machines. Grey was proablay more likley to apply to -3 production

Other interior parts were mostly zinc chromate though grey is possible on some very early machines (probably -3 models.)

Wheel bays and undercarriage were supposed to be painted in the lower surface colour. but with interior green showing in the area forward of the spar.
