I am planning on building a Mk.IX Spitfire (RCAF) circa July or August of '44. Want to display it "flying", not parked. Never done this before but always wanted too. Any way I obviously need a pilot figure for the cockpit and was wondering who makes quality pilot figures. I don't want just a blob of plastic sitting in the cockpit. Any ideas?

The Tamiya 1/48 Spitfires come with pilot figures, maybe someone has one they didn't use. As an alternative, Hecker & Goros do a white metal two figure set with a seated pilot #KSHG85. Airwaves (available from Hannants in the UK) also have a seated pilot, though its better suited to an aircraft thats still on the ground.

Airfix Spitfire Mk.V has a surprisingly nice figure. Keep it in mind.

You might want to check the program of PJ Productions
the figures are quite nice: http://www.pjproduction.net/index.php?categoryID=86
(the Bully is great too, except, that I have no idea how to get the vacu windows fit)
best wishes
Steffen
