Well here is where I am.
First Plane in 37 or more years so go easy.
Slam away I need to get better.
Still have the Light and Canopy to do paint the wing lights and underneath lights.
I did not do the Yellow line as the one I used did not have such a line.
Thanks

Hi Jeff!

No, It´s not that bad, not bad at all, really!
It´s much better then my "first" was when I started again after 30 some years!

"Putt Putt Maru" is one of my favourite schemes on the P-38 Lightning!
I love these colorful markings!

Looking forward to see it finished soon.

Which kit and scale Is it?
Did you use the kit decals?

Cheers!

First thanks to both for replies and it is that encouragement that makes people want to build more.
Thanks again Stefan and Derek.

Well to answer the questions
Stefan it is the Academy P-38 Lighting FA214/#2215 in 1/48 scale
Yes I used the decals from the kit I hope they stay where they are.
Nobody has Putt Putt Maru decals Microscale did them but long gone and I missed a set on Ebay by minutes for a Buy now price of $8.00. would of bought them.
If these decals peel I will try to get a set from some where.

Thats a pretty nice build. The P-38 is not an easy kit to build regardless of the manufacturer. And yours is in NMF. So good job. How did you like the Academy kit?

Nice build - good job on the aluminium. I think a lot of modellers like to do the bright shiny silver look, but I think yours are more realistic.

I think your bird fulfills the criteria for our Pacific War campaign, so you could consider signing up and submitting your bird in the gallery. Would be a very nice entry into the campaign - especially if you take the pictures after the cockpit is added

Thanks for sharing
