The Warthogs that I've seen in the news and over on ArmyTimes are all painted gray. What manufacturer and paint color (or mix of a few colors) is best to duplicate this color?
I like to run Tamiya paints through my airbrush- so are any Tamiya colors a match?
Spray cans?- for anyone who is thinking the same as me, but does not have an airbrush?
Thanks,
Peter

Tamiya does not have an exact match for either of those 2 grays in the camo scheme. Testors MM does.
Testors MM #1728 - FS36375 - Lt. Ghost Gray
Testors MM #1741 - FS36320 - Dk. Ghost Gray
Here are the recipes for Tamiya equivalents:
Lt Ghost Gray = 15:XF2 Flat White + 3:XF24 Dk Gray + 2:XF66 Lt Gray
Dk. Ghost Gray = 11:XF66 Lt Gray + 7:XF2 Flat White + 2:XF24 Dk Gray
Testors MM #1728 - FS36375 - Lt. Ghost Gray
Testors MM #1741 - FS36320 - Dk. Ghost Gray
Here are the recipes for Tamiya equivalents:
Lt Ghost Gray = 15:XF2 Flat White + 3:XF24 Dk Gray + 2:XF66 Lt Gray
Dk. Ghost Gray = 11:XF66 Lt Gray + 7:XF2 Flat White + 2:XF24 Dk Gray

You don't need to be really specific about those color schemes. You can use alternative colors for your model. But if you really wanted "the real thing" why not check the enclosed manual? They have some paint colors there and the proper mixing. Too bad if the kit's in Japanese (but it would be very easy because the Jap characters are read as their english counterparts eg.
Jap. Bu-ru
Eng. Blue)
