Hi i am awear that there is 3 main colours of chromate used in US built plane's.
I have Tamiyas yeallow green , testors green chromate and Mr Hobbies green interior. I am mainly after aircraft that Australia used in WW2.
So help with a list of planes and the colour used would be awesome as i hope to add it to an article for the site! cheers and thanks in advance!

well for a start i know the P-51's use the yellow chromate. DC-3's use the testers green chromate not sure if the P-40 use's the My Hobbies intirior green?

Researcher Dana Bell of the National Air and Space Museum has written about interior colors:

Rule of thumb, where crew were present the color was "interior green", and where crew were not meant to be, it was zinc chromate yellow.
