Hi all

IPMS Deutschland recieved first generation Test shots of the following models:

Lockheed-Martin F-22 "Raptor" (Gen1 Testshot) 1/72
Fairey Gannet AS. Mk.4 (Gen1 Testshot) 1/72
Piper PA-18 Super Cub (Gen1 Testshot) 1/32

As indicated these are the first test shots (that Revell passed). Thus the details are not fully developed yet and the sprues are subject to change. Comments are welcome (I will pass them to Revell)

best wishes

Steffen

P.S. @Nigel .. because Revell passing the sprues to IPMS Germany I could not file a news report ... I did not forget it ... besides the picture files were already water marked as I recieved it

On the Super Cub...Please...Ask them for flaps and rounded back windows!

Scraping the moulded in belts and adding 'PE' parts would be nice?

Hi Jeff

Well, I think it is too late for flaps. Remember this is aimed for the novice/casual modeller and it already is more complicated that the 1/32 gliders. Revell would not include PE parts for the same reason (and it does not look so bad on the picture .. while I personally would prefer etched parts too).

Hmm, just had another look re flaps. Maybe you can use these parts for that:

As for the rounded windows: just sand them in and mask rounded windows before panting .. I do not think this is a difficult task and maybe AM companies will provide them ... if not ask Kenny aka Gator to do such product.

But I will forward your remarks.

best wishes

Thanks Steffen....
Too bad about the flaps thought....And yes the 'Cottage/Aftermarket Industry' will hopefully have a field day with this!
Tundra tires, floats,Ski's and such! Looks like they added two tail wheel assy's one normal and one for 'Glider Operation'?
Any way....Thanks for the heads up on this!.....I know I'll get a couple.

I think those are the Ailerons?....I looked at the wings out of the bag,and counted the ribs from the aileron cut-out...Flaps need "6 ribs" in from the cut-out, the kit has "4 ribs.
Second 'airliners.net' picture shows what I mean. But,again it should'nt be to hard to add them!

Any idea on the release date?

Hi Jeff

I think you are right compared to the picture, but I have faaaaar too less knowlege, if the Super Cup could have different wings (maybe the round window indicates another mark of the a/c??).

Anyway .. I forwarded the information (actually the link to this post) but I am not sure if the crew will actually have a look/ consider it.

best wishes
