landing gear is on, I'm working on the ordinence now. I'm trying to find a way to replicate the fire-proof grey coating that the USN gives it's GBU's, any tips? I tried these shots outdoor to show off the camo, but the 2 colors are too simliar to determine the difference.
and here's my next project that has arrived, Tamiya's 1/32 scale F-14A Tomcat. I'm going to convert this to a B model and represent an aircraft of VF-103 "Jolly Rogers".
the dollar is there for size comparsion (although I wished Tamiya would of sent me one to help compensate for the cost of the kit!)
enjoy! :-)

Looking damn good Pony. I like how the Hornet turned out.
It's interesting, I just got 2 Tomcat heading my way, one A, another is a B from buddies here in Da Armorama. both Hasegawa, I also got the same book last week....
maybe we can do a group build together....mine are in 1/48 scale though.
Again great work on the Hornet.

Hi, Great start, read some posts by the master Lord Holdfast for ways of getting the best from aircraft washes.
For the fire-proofing on the bombs, I would paint the bomb with white glue and then roll it in a very fine powdered dirt to simulate the tough texture. There are other ways and I'm sure others here will tell you. Paint the bomb O/D after and don't forget the yellow ordnance stripes.
