Doop de dooooooo!
This is tthe Tamiya kit, with a PE set used mostly for the cockpit.
I estemate I've spent at least 45 hours working on this kit - most of the time in the cockpit and painting...
I didn't do a lot of weathering. Since this is my first 1/48 airplane, and my first airbrushed AC, I just wanted a relatively simple standard for the rest of my models. More weathering to come on the next one.

Yoda, what a wonderful job you did. I don't get too much into wingy things but, this could (along with my AH 64 build) tip that scale. Great work!

I love it. Don't let all these armor guys fool you. It is a lot easier to make a tank model look bad than it is to make a plane look good. Trust me. Good job.

It`s the same as with every plane ..... too much windows to go bad.. that`s why I do armor
Great job on this corsair Yoda seems you have used the force to get this model to a superb finish. well done. I especially like the cockpit

:-) Nice one YodaMan, looks pretty damn good :-)
I've just sprayed the primer coat on mine, prior to the pre-shading, should be finished in a couple of weeks :-) Hope it looks as good as yours. :-)

Yoda, this looks really great. I had to go back and see what kit it was because it looks like 1/32 scale. Really great stuff. This may sound bad but I'd kind like to see how you fixed 'the spot".
Great job.

Great job YodaMan!! I'm hoping to start on my Corsair soon. I'm sure it won't look as good as yours but I'm gonna give it a shot.

Thanks for all the comments, guys! :-)
Sure! I'll take a few more photos today... Will see if I can use a different background too, insted of my workbench (which looks like a city after its been hit by an A-bomb...)
My next A/C will have at least some evidence of weathering, I promise!

Yoda, this looks very good to me except for the fact that is has wings. After my last 'wingy thingy' it might be awhile be I venture into the air again.
I have one question though. Seems most USN aircraft I've seen have more identification numbers than this one. Did you model this after a particular plane or are there more decals you're planning on adding?

I used all of the decals that came with the kit... Markings are provided for two planes, neither have that mant ID numbers.
Here's some more pics of slightly higher quality:
A few points:
-Yes, my room is dusty... and some is on the model
-Yes, I did steal Bryan's carrier deck base idea.
-On the right side of the plane, just below the cockpit, that decal 'silvered' a little. Also, this was the location of 'the great spot'... and has been fixed. :-)

The more I look at it the better I like it. I'm just suprised it didn't have squadron numbers by the national insignia on the fuselage and a serial number on the tail like most planes I've seen.
Really very nice cockpit and paint job.
